Columbia Industrial Products (CIP) - USA is a manufacturer and global supplier of custom composite bearing materials. In 1998, after 14 years in the plastics industry, founder Mr. Stephen Phillips (more than 39 years' experience in composite bearing and wear material) opened the doors to CIP in Eugene, Oregon and began manufacturing composite bearing materials. For years customers had requested textile reinforced composites to provide high strength, low coefficient of friction, easy machine ability, and custom sizes with fast deliveries. Recognizing this market demand for higher quality products and service, Mr. Phillips established an experienced management team, skilled production crew, and worked with key suppliers to introduce superior composite products. CIP is proud to offer these solutions, along with personalized customer support to its clients, serving a broad range of industries around the world.
CIP – material composition
CIP Composites™ are laminated polymer materials made by impregnate textiles with thermoset resins. Solid lubricants are added to the resin to provide evenly dispersed lubrication throughout the material, inherently eliminating the need for external lubrication. CIP composite materials are represented by three (3) digits based on the chosen textile, lubricant and resin.

Main Guide Bearing, Runner blade stem/hub (Ideal for water lubricated bearings or completely submerged application)
Servomotor cylinder wear rings, sluice gate, support bushing (less critical applications)
